Happy Easter to all of you. To our visitors to the parish, welcome and thank you for being here. Your presence adds to the festivities. Welcome home to our students and others returning to Akron over the Easter celebrations. It is always great to see your faces once again.

And to all of our regular St. Sebastianites, it is always such a pleasure to worship with you. I feel so fortunate to get to be your pastor. Many blessings to you in this holy season and a special thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our celebrations so grand.

ON OTHER NEWS:

WELCOME HOME: This year we are blessed to be able to welcome 12 people in the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Those attending the 9am Mass will be familiar with some of these faces because of the celebration for the scrutinies. Aȅer a year of discernment through the Christian Rite of Initiation for Adults (RCIA), the following will baptized at the Easter Vigil:

OFFICES CLOSED: Be aware that your parish offices will be closed on Good Friday through Easter Monday, April 1. Offices will re-open on Tuesday, April 2 at 8:30am.

UPCOMING EVENTS: There are a number of events coming up right after Easter. Peter Kreeȅ will be speaking on April 5 at 7:30pm and April 6 at 9am at two different events. The Chesterton Academy will be having a fundraiser in Zwisler Hall on April 6. On April 7 there will be a Coffeehouse Concert in Zwisler Hall featuring Pitch Blend Barbershop Quartet. Our own SPECTACULAR!, our largest fundraiser for the school each year will be held on April 20.
