In the Sacrament of Marriage, the love of Christ for his Church is witnessed in the commitment between a man and a woman to live in holy matrimony. Modeled after the love of Christ on the cross, married love is freely given, totally given, faithfully given, and bears great fruit through openness to their children. Couples should register with the parish at least six months before the wedding at 330-836-2233.
A very important part of your wedding preparation is the Pre-Cana Session. The Pre-Cana Program is meant to help couples entering marriage for the first time to better understand each other and the importance and dignity of married life. If one partner has been married previously, we suggest Cana II as the more appropriate preparation program. Participation in a formal pre-marriage program is a prerequisite for marriage.
St. Sebastian Parish will host 2024 Pre-Cana on Saturday, February 10th in Zwisler Hall. Please keep your eye on additioanl information closer to the date on the parish bulletin.
For a current list of Pre-Cana days visit the Catholic Charities’ website.
If you have any questions, please contact the priest with whom you are doing marriage preparation.
