Congratulations to the St. Sebastian Parish School 7th grade Power of the Pen team for taking first place at the recent district tournament. 7th grade team members include Sadie Borges, Abigail Coleman, Noelle Keso, Frances Knauer, Christine Sturm-Poth, Henry Thomas and Cecelia Walker. Individual awards were given to 8th grade student Julie Rea for winning 2nd place, Abigail Coleman for a 3rd place finish and Frances Knauer for finishing in 8th place. The team is coached by junior high school language arts teacher Sally Weakland and auxiliary service tutor Maggi Blischak.
