Father's Bulletin Letter - 6.25.26

Jun 25, 2026

Greetings,

Independence Day is quickly approaching! May this holiday be one of blessings for you and may you celebrate well and safely. Because this July 4th falls on a Saturday, the Federal Celebration will take place on Friday. (See? The Church is not the only one who does such things!) Although the offices will be closed on July 3 through July 5, Mass will remain at 8am on Friday, July 3. Mass will be at 9am on Saturday, July 4 and there will be no confessions on that day.

Here is a handy way to keep track:

FRIDAY, JULY 3: Offices Closed
Mass at 8am
Confessions at 4pm

SATURDAY, JULY 4: Offices Closed
Mass at 9 am
No Confessions at 9:30am
Vigil Mass at 4:30pm

SUNDAY, JULY 5: Offices Closed
9am Mass
11am Mass

IN OTHER NEWS:

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: Thank you to our outgoing Parish Council Members whose three years of service to the parish was completed as of last week; Terry Tolson, chair, Chris Slattery, Barbara Panzner and Tom Knauer. There is so much accomplished by this group, and I greatly appreciate your ideas, advice and eyes about the parish.

Taking their places will be Kelly Whitaker, John O’Connor, Jake Shurer, and Lori Oakes. I look forward to your guidance and leadership as you begin your tour of duty.

Did you know that the Parish Pastoral Council meeting minutes can be found online? Also, on our website are the names and contact details of those who serve on Parish Council so that you might be able to bring items to their attention. There is also a way to contact the Council directly through their Email address parishcouncil@stsebastian.org.

THANK YOU: Thank you to everybody who helped make our Brick Street Jazz and Wine Festival a success! Thanks go both to our volunteers and those who came to enjoy the evening. Your support helps keep the Academy of Culture and Arts at St. Sebastian Parish strong!

God bless,

Fr. Valencheck
