PLEASE BE ADVISED - THE SCHOOL DRESS CODE HAS BEEN REVISED FOR THE 2007-2008 SCHOOL YEAR
School Dress Code
Personal appearance is as vital to a child’s educational outlook as any other school policy enforced here at St. Sebastian. Grooming and dress reflect attitudes, which have a direct relationship to learning. Attention should be given to every detail of a child's appearance.
Grooming
Neatness, good grooming, good taste, and the avoidance of competition in dress are the major objectives of this dress code. Clothing that is soiled, torn, wrinkled, or ill fitting spoils an outfit. Untucked shirttails, hanging hems, extreme or unnatural haircuts or styles also detract from a presentable appearance. Boy's hair must not touch the collar or be hanging over the eyes. Earrings for girls should be small, tailored, and discreet. No earrings are to be worn by males.
Jumpers/Skirts/Skorts
Uniform jumper for girls in grades K-5, uniform skirts in grades 6-8, uniform skort available to all female students. Skort must be out of the uniform plaid. No navy skorts will be accepted.
